Twelve women of vision chartered the Forrest City Area Alumnae Chapter on April 26, 1986. 

These visionary members were:

•    Mary Norman Spratt

The chapter was created to assist with political, social, and, economic change that needed to happen for the people of African American descent here in the Delta. The chapter replicated national Delta programs and created supplemental programs to help address the present issues. Today, equipped with over 60 members, we carry on the torch of the social consciousness of our twenty-two dynamic Founders and our twelve courageous Charter members to make Forrest City and the surrounding areas a better community.
